Anyone who’s been by the Georgia Capitol in recent months knows about the major renovations taking place to the historic building. $392 million worth, to be exact, as approved by legislators earlier this year. Part of the project is a retouching of the Capitol’s famed golden dome, and of course the state’s most famous gold-mining town, Dahlonega, is involved. Atlanta snubbed for ’28 DNC Convention
The City of Atlanta and the Georgia Democratic Party made a strong push to host the 2028 Democratic National Convention, but fell short once again when it was announced that Boston, Denver and Philadelphia are the three finalists.
