The day is finally upon us as Georgians will turn out to vote (if they haven’t already) for the next president of the United States. The results in Georgia are once again expected to be extremely close, so watch for, 1) Will we see split ticket voters? We did in 2022 when Gov. Brian Kemp won re-election easily but Raphael Warnock beat a Trump-backed Herschel Walker. 2) Will men close the gap? Women, who lean toward Kamala Harris, out-voted men in early voting. How hard will that gap close on election day? 3) Expect a late night – with such a close election we may not know the Georgia results until Wednesday morning or later. We’re almost there – but which way Georgia will lean remains DRIFTING…
Atlanta snubbed for ’28 DNC Convention
The City of Atlanta and the Georgia Democratic Party made a strong push to host the 2028 Democratic National Convention, but fell short once again when it was announced that Boston, Denver and Philadelphia are the three finalists. Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens blasted the decision, accusing the DNC of “abandoning Atlanta, abandoning the South, and once again abandoning Black voters.” The snub has Georgia Dems SINKING…
