The ongoing fight between Georgia Democrats got worse this week when newly-elected House Minority Leader Carolyn Hugley took some noteworthy shots at U.S. Sen. Jon Ossoff. Ossoff, who is gearing up to defend his seat in 2026, recently made it known that he’d prefer U.S. Rep. Nikema Williams, who also serves as chair of the state Democratic Party, to step down from her post leading the party. But Hugley pushed back, calling out the senator for “to try to demean and harass and embarrass” Williams and that it was “ill-timed and ill-advised.” Plenty of time to mend fences – but a rift in Democratic leadership has the party SINKING…
Atlanta snubbed for ’28 DNC Convention
The City of Atlanta and the Georgia Democratic Party made a strong push to host the 2028 Democratic National Convention, but fell short once again when it was announced that Boston, Denver and Philadelphia are the three finalists. Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens blasted the decision, accusing the DNC of “abandoning Atlanta, abandoning the South, and once again abandoning Black voters.” The snub has Georgia Dems SINKING…
