On Wednesday the Cobb County Ethics Board hears a challenge by civic activist Lance Lamberton concerning the conduct of County Commission Chairwoman Lisa Cupid regarding the use of taxpayer resources to promote passage of the Mobility SPLOST. It was a tax hike which was defeated in a landslide vote on Nov. 5th. The head of the Cobb Taxpayers Association charges that taxpayer money allocated to educate the public on the ballot measure was instead used “to unequivocally advocate for its passage, which is a violation of state law.” He will ask the Ethics Board to censure the Democrat politician, which would have Cupid SINKING…
Atlanta snubbed for ’28 DNC Convention
The City of Atlanta and the Georgia Democratic Party made a strong push to host the 2028 Democratic National Convention, but fell short once again when it was announced that Boston, Denver and Philadelphia are the three finalists. Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens blasted the decision, accusing the DNC of “abandoning Atlanta, abandoning the South, and once again abandoning Black voters.” The snub has Georgia Dems SINKING…
