Every member of Georgia’s congressional delegation backed Gov. Brian Kemp’s request for $12 billion in disaster funding save one – U.S. Rep. Andrew Clyde. Kemp says that the funding is needed urgently for businesses and families – particularly farmers – devastated by Hurricane Helene. But Clyde supported a statement saying that the money shouldn’t be approved unless it includes “pay-fors” in the form of budget cuts elsewhere. Atlanta snubbed for ’28 DNC Convention
The City of Atlanta and the Georgia Democratic Party made a strong push to host the 2028 Democratic National Convention, but fell short once again when it was announced that Boston, Denver and Philadelphia are the three finalists. Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens blasted the decision, accusing the DNC of “abandoning Atlanta, abandoning the South, and once again abandoning Black voters.” The snub has Georgia Dems SINKING…
