U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement started arresting illegal aliens in the Atlanta area on Sunday. An ICE spokesperson said they are part of “enhanced targeted operations.” According to Telemundo Atlanta various arrests took place near the Buford Highway, in Chamblee and in Brookhaven. It also reported ICE agents working in Doraville, Smyrna and Cobb County. The City of Atlanta and the Georgia Democratic Party made a strong push to host the 2028 Democratic National Convention, but fell short once again when it was announced that Boston, Denver and Philadelphia are the three finalists.
