Gov. Brian Kemp still has about three weeks to sign or veto bills that passed during the legislative session. One that’s getting a lot of notice is Senate Bill 144, which would protect agrochemical companies from lawsuits regrading chemicals in their products. But trial lawyers group the American Association for Justice is running ads saying that Chinese companies like ChemChina are behind the bill, and urging Kemp to veto it. Kemp is still expected to sign the bill though, which received bipartisan support and was backed by local farmers. But the late pushback has its fate DRIFTING…
Could Paramount be coming to Georgia?
Paramount Skydance, one of the biggest and most prominent entertainment companies in the world, is furious at its home state of California over a lawsuit filed by the state’s attorney general attempting to stop a merger. In response, Chair David Ellison has threatened to move from Los Angeles to a state not actively suing his company, and Georgia was on the shortlist of possibilities. Gov.
