Last week, a committee tasked with studying and evaluating Georgia’s current election laws and policies received a recommendation letter from the Georgia Republican Party urging them to push for hand-marked paper ballots. Tuesday, two Republican lawmakers heading the House Blue-Ribbon Study Committee on Election Procedures sent a letter to Georgia’s Secretary of State, asking him to implement a rapid pilot test run of hand-marked paper ballots during the Nov. 4 Public Service Commission election and Dec. 5 runoff for local elections.

Georgia Reps. Tim Fleming, R-Covington, and Victor Anderson, R-Cornelia, sent the letter to Secretary Brad Raffensperger while stressing “urgency in the matter.”
