It’s been 13 years since the Atlanta Beat, the city’s former women’s soccer team, went defunct along with its league.  But according to sources, it may be coming back, courtesy of Arthur Blank.  Reporting over the weekend indicated that Blank has purchased an NWSL franchise for $165 million, and the team would start in ’27 or ’28.  A new women’s soccer team in Mercedes-Benz Stadium would have Atlanta’s reputation as a soccer hotbed – and a place where women’s sports shine –  RISING…
