The man who will (hopefully) lead Atlanta United’s turnaround is Mauricio Culebro, who this week was named president of soccer for both the MLS side as well as Arthur Blank’s future NWSL women’s team, scheduled to start play in 2028.  He comes from Tigres UANL, one of the biggest soccer clubs in Mexico.  Culebro will be tasked with rebuilding Atlanta United, which burst onto the scene in 2017 and won its first championship only a season later, but has floundered in recent years despite strong fan support and one of the biggest payrolls in the league.  Hopefully he will have the club RISING…
