Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed’s office over the weekend announced that Hartsfield-Jackson General Manager Miguel Southwell had been fired. Southwell had overseen a massive development plan for the airport in recent months, and his firing came as a surprise to many. Dems post fundraising hauls
The 2026 governor’s race is just getting revved up, but a pair of Georgia Democrats are trying to establish themselves as early frontrunners. This week former Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms announced that she’s raised $900,000 and lent herself another $200,000, while state Sen. Jason Esteves says his campaign has raised $1.1 million since he entered the race in April.
