$20M in grants will help Georgia longleaf pine forests

The forestry industry plays an important role in Georgia by providing jobs and contributing to the state’s economy. U.S. Rep. Sanford Bishop, D-GA, announced this week that the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation is awarding $20 million for projects that will restore and protect longleaf pine forests in Georgia.

New laws in effect in Georgia today

It’s July 1st, and that means a lot of new laws go into effect in Georgia today following action taken during the 2026 session of the Georgia General Assembly. This includes laws impacting building permits, student cell phone use in schools, human trafficking and protections for senior citizens.

Kemp announces Rural Site Development grants

Since taking office as Georgia’s top leader, Gov. Brian Kemp has been committed to promoting growth in rural Georgia. As his second term draws closer to a close, Kemp announced the fourth round of grants from the Rural Site Development Initiative (RSDI) within the OneGeorgia Authority — totaling $7.8 million for 10 local projects across the state.

WNBA embroiled in trans-athlete drama

Last Sunday a mother and daughter attended the Atlanta Dream/Indiana Fever basketball game at Atlanta’s State Farm Arena. With two minutes left in overtime the pair were ordered to cover their XX-XY chromosome shirts— and the censorship incident went viral. It’s obvious that left-wing, pro-trans leaders of the Women’s National Basketball Association are intent on suppressing the message that men and women are different and that biological men cannot become women. However, widespread public support exists for these statements of fact, and by trying to censor them the WNBA is actually causing these viral moments. And that seems to be bringing more people to the side of sanity. RISING…
