Kemp to lead trade mission to Belgium, U.K.

In 2024, both Belgium and the United Kingdom ranked among Georgia’s top 15 trade partners by dollar value, and Governor Brian Kemp says he is committed to reinforcing the economic relations with both. Tuesday, Kemp announced that he and First Lady Marty Kemp will lead an international mission to Belgium and the U.K.

Lt. Gov, Senate leader call out Raffensperger over elections

Lt. Gov. Burt Jones and Senate Majority Whip Randy Robertson, R-Cataula, are urging Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger to attend the Georgia Senate Ethics Committee meeting on Thursday to answer for “repeated failures in protecting the integrity of Georgia’s elections,” and to produce Georgia’s voter registration list for the United States Department of Justice (DOJ).

Right whales get a boost from Rep. Buddy Carter

A lot of people know Georgia’s state fruit – the peach, state bird – the brown thrasher, or state vegetable – Vidalia onion. What many people may not know is Georgia’s state marine mammal, the North Atlantic right whale. With a population of less than 400 adults and calves, this right whale species is the most endangered large whale species on earth. Georgia just happens to be home to part of the right whale’s calving grounds.

Kemp gives final ‘State of the State’

In his final State of the State Address Thursday morning, Gov. Brian Kemp announced plans for a fourth income tax rebate – saying he wants to spend $1.17 billion from the state’s budget surplus to give income tax rebates of $500 per family or $250 per person. He also continued calls to speed up Georgia’s planned income tax cuts, proposing a 20-basis-point reduction to get the state’s flat tax rate down to 4.99 percent.

Trump wins more lawfare dismissals in Georgia

The second attempted assassination of Donald Trump over the weekend came just after the dismissal by a Georgia judge of more lawfare charges against the former president and other defendants in Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’ partisan prosecution.

Could Paramount be coming to Georgia?

Paramount Skydance, one of the biggest and most prominent entertainment companies in the world, is furious at its home state of California over a lawsuit filed by the state’s attorney general attempting to stop a merger.  In response, Chair David Ellison has threatened to move from Los Angeles to a state not actively suing his company, and Georgia was on the shortlist of possibilities.  Gov.
