Burt Jones officially launches campaign for governor

And then there were two (Republicans) – officially. Lt. Gov. Burt Jones posted a video announcement on X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook Tuesday making officials what most had suspected – he is running for governor of Georgia in the 2026 midterm elections. He will face off against Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr in the Republican primary.

There they go again. A group of Republican state senators have signed on to a Democrat-led bill that would change state law on the current residency requirement to access instate tuition in public colleges. And the left-wing AJC is unapologetically pushing the bill in its opinion posts with agenda-driven misinformation.  

Preventing Scams Against Georgia’s Elderly – 101

The number of financial scams against senior citizens continues to grow according to the FBI’s Elder Fraud Report of 2022. It shows the total losses reported by elderly victims increased 84% from 2021. Elderly Georgians were particularly hard-hit with scams at a rate faster than the national average.

Atlanta snubbed for ’28 DNC Convention

The City of Atlanta and the Georgia Democratic Party made a strong push to host the 2028 Democratic National Convention, but fell short once again when it was announced that Boston, Denver and Philadelphia are the three finalists.  Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens blasted the decision, accusing the DNC of “abandoning Atlanta, abandoning the South, and once again abandoning Black voters.”  The snub has Georgia Dems SINKING…
