The Georgia Department of Transportation is giving roughly $42 million to Cobb County for various projects, many of which are around the new Suntrust Park, but none of that money will go toward a bridge spanning I-285 connecting the stadium with the Cobb Galleria. Looks like Tim Lee and co. will have to come up with another means to fund their bridge and parking deck renovations. Downtown Atlanta’s State Farm Arena is quite the box office draw. How big? From October to to March, State Farm brought in $76.2 million across 60 events, making it the third-highest grossing venue in the entire nation, behind only New York’s Madison Square Garden and the Sphere in Las Vegas, and fifth globally.
