According to a 2018 survey by the National Center for Education Statistics, 94% of teachers pay for classroom supplies using their own money.  That is a staggering number considering that teachers are so often underpaid and underappreciated to begin with.  Here in Georgia grocery store chain Kroger is doing their part to help out, hosting its annual teacher supply giveaway this month across the state.  In Metro Atlanta, Macon, and Augusta, participating teachers received up to $30 worth of school supplies for use in the classroom when school starts back up later this summer.  This generous and impactful corporate giving initiative has Kroger’s ship RISING….
