Jones called on by SOS office

Walter Jones, one of Georgia’s most prolific journalists (who even had a stint here at IAG!) has been selected as the face and voice of Georgia’s new voting machines, Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger’s office announced Wednesday.  Drama has swirled around the state’s voting processes in recent years, with claims of voter suppression and questions over ballot security necessitating a switch to a new, more secure system which includes paper ballots.  Jones will be tasked with making sure voters, “learn about the new election system and understand its integrity.”  A smart selection by Raffensperger’s office, for few could be better at clearly and succinctly educating Georgians on their new voting system that is so crucial to the state’s elections – the move has the state RISING…
