Athens may not be as big as Nashville or Los Angeles, but it has a similar cultural richness, particularly in regards to its music industry. Fani Willis to skip Senate hearing
Attorneys for Fulton Co. District Attorney Fani Willis say she plans to ignore a pair of subpoenas and skip a scheduled Georgia Senate special committee hearing later today. The move will no doubt enrage GOP lawmakers and set up a courtroom battle, likely in the Georgia Court of Appeals over the legality of Legislature-ordered subpoenas, with Willis’ attorneys arguing they are void because they were issued after the 2024 legislative session.
