According to internal numbers from popular crowdfunding site GoFundMe.com, Marietta is the most generous city in America. In its annual review of donations, Marietta had more donations per capita than any other city with a population over 50,000, and was the only Georgia city to make the final list. GoFundMe allows users to make anonymous donations to causes people put on the site, with more than $9 billion in donations made since its inception in 2010.
