The city of South Fulton has only existed for two years, but already scandal is brewing. Its city council this week voted to investigate Mayor Bill Edwards over allegations that he and Councilwoman Helen Zenobia Willis helped broker a deal between a local business and Fulton County, as opposed to the City of South Fulton, that could cost the city some $7 million in fees. Georgia approves three-year bachelor’s degree
Georgia is joining a handful of other states in trying out a new three-year bachelor’s degree program meant to get students into the job market faster. The University System of Georgia’s Board of Regents has approved the Bachelor of Applied Science, which cuts down on electives and only requires 90 credit hours instead of the traditional 120.
