The demand for food assistance has skyrocketed as the COVID-19 pandemic has progressed, putting much stress on Georgia’s food banks. In light of that fact, state Attorney General Chris Carr is putting an extra emphasis on this year’s Georgia Legal Food Frenzy, a statewide competition among the state’s lawyers to donate food and money to local food banks. Georgia approves three-year bachelor’s degree
Georgia is joining a handful of other states in trying out a new three-year bachelor’s degree program meant to get students into the job market faster. The University System of Georgia’s Board of Regents has approved the Bachelor of Applied Science, which cuts down on electives and only requires 90 credit hours instead of the traditional 120.
