The demand for food assistance has skyrocketed as the COVID-19 pandemic has progressed, putting much stress on Georgia’s food banks. In light of that fact, state Attorney General Chris Carr is putting an extra emphasis on this year’s Georgia Legal Food Frenzy, a statewide competition among the state’s lawyers to donate food and money to local food banks. ICE operation catches criminals
During the Biden administration illegal immigrants overwhelmed systems ranging from healthcare to schools. Illegal alien street gangs flourished. Now, though, Immigration and Customs Enforcement announced the results of an enhanced immigration enforcement operation throughout Georgia. “Operation Safe Community” yielded 1,226 immigration arrests in recent weeks. Of those individuals who snuck across our borders, 720 had been convicted or charged with crimes in the U.S. According to ICE, the criminal histories of the arrested aliens include sex crimes, crimes against children, aggravated assault, assault and battery, drug crimes, lewd and lascivious acts, weapons crimes and burglary.
