A new partnership between Google.org, (the philanthropy arm of the tech giant) and the Satcher Health Institute at Morehouse School of Medicine will study the impact of COVID-19 on minority communities – which have been harmed disproportionately by the virus. The $1 million grant will help pair a team of Google engineers and data scientists with Morehouse students and teachers as they study and collect data on how and why certain communities were affected more than others – and how they can receive targeted resources and support to help combat the virus.
