It’s been a difficult year for schools without a doubt – but at Atlanta’s Georgia State University, 2020 has seen a new record for overall enrollment. More than 54,000 students signed up for the fall semester, with more than 5,200 freshmen entering the downtown Atlanta campus, breaking the previous record set last year. Georgia approves three-year bachelor’s degree
Georgia is joining a handful of other states in trying out a new three-year bachelor’s degree program meant to get students into the job market faster. The University System of Georgia’s Board of Regents has approved the Bachelor of Applied Science, which cuts down on electives and only requires 90 credit hours instead of the traditional 120.
