Because of its robust interstate highway network and the world’s busiest airport, Georgia is one of the most accessible states in the country – for good or ill. A recent study ranked Georgia fifth in the country for human trafficking, an issue which remains near the top of the list of lawmakers’ concerns.
This week, Governor Brian Kemp and First Lady Marty Kemp announced two legislative measures to combat human trafficking in the state.
