A June 24 headline in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution screamed: “Judge throws out most of case alleging counterfeit ballots in Fulton County.” The trouble was that the headline and story got it mostly wrong— fake news, if you will. InsiderAdvantage can inform our readers of the facts.
Here’s what really happened regarding Superior Court Judge Brian Amero’s ruling with regard to a plaintiffs’ lawsuit seeking an audit of questionable Fulton County ballots from the Nov. 3 presidential election. Bottom line: Election integrity advocates basically received a favorable decision and the audit is going forward.
Here is a quote from the VOTER-GA press statement in response:
“We are pleased that the court has ruled in our favor again for the fifth time. The ruling substitutes Defendants by replacing currently named government organizations (Fulton County) with individual board members we named as defendants originally in our lawsuit. It also moots the (attorney) Don Samuels’ attempt to dismiss our case. This continues the string of victories we have had in obtaining the original protective order, conditional approval to inspect ballots, access to ballot images, and the order to unseal the ballots.”
