Labor drama coming from the heavily unionized film industry is threatening productions in Georgia, as a conflict between the International Alliance of Theatrical and Stage Employees and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers looks likely to produce a strike authorization vote on October 1st.  The disagreement has nothing to do with Georgia, but rather revolves around revenue sharing by major streaming companies like Netflix and Disney+, as well as overworking crew members.  Hopefully we see a resolution before the film industry here in Georgia, which now produces more than $4B in direct spending annually, is negatively affected.  For now the possibility of a strike has the industry DRIFTING…
