Augusta voters Tuesday roundly rejected a property tax hike that would have gone towards building a new James Brown Arena in Augusta.  The referendum sought to add $97.60 per $100,000 of assessed property value, to which more than 60% of voters said “no.”  Augusta-Richmond County Coliseum Authority officials say they are considering other funding mechanisms for the project, but after a ballot box defeat the prospects of a new arena in Augusta are SINKING…
