The cavalry has arrived in the legal battle over two Cobb County cityhood efforts. Lawsuits seeking to prevent Vinings and Lost Mountain cityhood questions from being listed on the May 24th ballots, questioning their constitutionality under the principle of “home rule.” Now Attorney General Chris Carr and state Rep. Ginny Ehrhart (R-Marietta) have joined the fray, with Carr’s office entering both cases as a concerned party looking to back the bills, and Ehrhart asking to be admitted as a defendant in the Lost Mountain case as the original bill’s primary sponsor. ICE operation catches criminals
During the Biden administration illegal immigrants overwhelmed systems ranging from healthcare to schools. Illegal alien street gangs flourished. Now, though, Immigration and Customs Enforcement announced the results of an enhanced immigration enforcement operation throughout Georgia. “Operation Safe Community” yielded 1,226 immigration arrests in recent weeks. Of those individuals who snuck across our borders, 720 had been convicted or charged with crimes in the U.S. According to ICE, the criminal histories of the arrested aliens include sex crimes, crimes against children, aggravated assault, assault and battery, drug crimes, lewd and lascivious acts, weapons crimes and burglary.
