A voting site in Bryan County in southeast Georgia was forced to close ahead of today’s primary elections, but not because of any legal or political reasons. The Hendrix Park Gym in Ellabell was destroyed last month by a deadly tornado that ripped through the area. So Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger’s office has worked to a install mobile polling unit that will service the precinct’s 2,000 or so registered voters, complete with the same machines available in every other voting site in the state. The unit is located next to the Bryan County Recreation Department, right next to the park.
