State Sen. Burt Jones, the GOP candidate for lieutenant governor, won a huge legal victory when Fulton Superior Court Judge Robert McBurney granted his motion to disqualify Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis from having her special grand jury investigate him. Willis openly hosted an event to raise money for Jones’ Democrat opponent Charlie Bailey, which shows obvious bias against her intended grand jury target. Georgia approves three-year bachelor’s degree
Georgia is joining a handful of other states in trying out a new three-year bachelor’s degree program meant to get students into the job market faster. The University System of Georgia’s Board of Regents has approved the Bachelor of Applied Science, which cuts down on electives and only requires 90 credit hours instead of the traditional 120. It remains to be seen how successful these new degrees will be, but another option for students, and one that could help stave off the “enrollment cliff” has Georgia colleges and their students RISING…
