New poll troubling for Abrams

A new poll from the Atlanta Journal Constitution comes with some troubling numbers for Democratic gubernatorial nominee Stacey Abrams in her rematch against Gov. Brian Kemp.  Per the poll, taken last week, Kemp leads Abrams 48%-43%, a notable margin but not one that indicates some insurmountable lead, (worth mentioning – U.S. Sen. Raphael Warnock leads challenger Herschel Walker 46%-43% in the same poll).  The bad news comes from the poll’s numbers regarding black voters, where 80% polled said they would support Abrams, 10% Kemp and another 8% undecided.  Georgia Democrats routinely pull over 90% of the black vote, and a failure to do so would make it very difficult for one to win a statewide race, particularly against a popular incumbent such as Kemp.  Still a long ways to go before November, but the political winds have Abrams DRIFTING…
