Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens‘ message Monday was crystal clear; “If you pull a gun in this town, you are going to jail,” he told members of the Atlanta City Council’s public safety committee. Dickens was there to give an update on the city’s efforts to increase public safety, but another violent weekend shows it has a long way to go. There were four more murders in the city over the weekend, including six people being shot (with two dead) at a southwest Atlanta park. City officials have pleaded with the public to not resolve disputes with gunfire, but those pleas seem to remain unheeded. ICE operation catches criminals
During the Biden administration illegal immigrants overwhelmed systems ranging from healthcare to schools. Illegal alien street gangs flourished. Now, though, Immigration and Customs Enforcement announced the results of an enhanced immigration enforcement operation throughout Georgia. “Operation Safe Community” yielded 1,226 immigration arrests in recent weeks. Of those individuals who snuck across our borders, 720 had been convicted or charged with crimes in the U.S. According to ICE, the criminal histories of the arrested aliens include sex crimes, crimes against children, aggravated assault, assault and battery, drug crimes, lewd and lascivious acts, weapons crimes and burglary.
