Georgia braces for Ian

Florida is on high alert as Hurricane Ian moves into the Gulf of Mexico, where it is expected to gain speed and strengthen before making landfall later this week.  But Georgia could also get its share of the impact, with current models showing the path of the storm coming up through the Panhandle and up into the Peach State.  Gov. Brian Kemp over the weekend activated the Georgia Emergency Management & Homeland Security’s state operations center to be prepared for whatever the storm may bring, and on Tuesday declared a State of Emergency ahead of impact.  DRIFTING…
