Last month the Cobb Co. Board of Elections was thrown into controversy when Democratic appointees refused to support a measure that meetings should start by reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. This week at a subsequent meeting, all board members except for Jennifer Mosbacher rose for the pledge. Atlanta’s newest pro sports team
Rumors continue to swirl around Atlanta potentially getting a new professional hockey team in the near future, but the cities newest franchise plays on the hardwood in Gwinnett County. The Atlanta Vibe are one of seven teams in the inaugural season of the Pro Volleyball Federation, which includes teams from Columbus, Ohio, Grand Rapids, Michigan, Omaha, Orlando, San Diego and Las Vegas.
