The Atlanta City Council is putting together a study commission that will look into the idea of reparations for Black residents. The group will contain 11 appointed members, some from local HBCUs and others from advocacy groups such as the National African-American Reparations Commission. Atlanta snubbed for ’28 DNC Convention
The City of Atlanta and the Georgia Democratic Party made a strong push to host the 2028 Democratic National Convention, but fell short once again when it was announced that Boston, Denver and Philadelphia are the three finalists.
