This week Gov. Brian Kemp’s office announced some staff movement, with current Chief of Staff Trey Kilpatrick set to move on to become Georgia Power’s senior vice president of external affairs starting in mid-January. Lauren Curry, currently Kemp’s deputy chief of staff, will step up to become the first permanent chief of staff for a governor in Georgia history. Atlanta snubbed for ’28 DNC Convention
The City of Atlanta and the Georgia Democratic Party made a strong push to host the 2028 Democratic National Convention, but fell short once again when it was announced that Boston, Denver and Philadelphia are the three finalists. Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens blasted the decision, accusing the DNC of “abandoning Atlanta, abandoning the South, and once again abandoning Black voters.” The snub has Georgia Dems SINKING…
