U.S. Rep. Lucy McBath, D-GA, will be running for her third different district later this year when she swaps from CD-7 back to the newly-redrawn CD-6. But while the constant reshuffling due to redistricting might be a hassle, could it be setting her up nicely for a future statewide run? After first representing Atlanta’s northern suburbs, McBath moved over to the northeast side of Atlanta where she currently serves. If she wins reelection she’ll represent the entire west side of Atlanta in her new district. All told McBath will have represented nearly 20 percent of Georgians, over two million in all. Atlanta snubbed for ’28 DNC Convention
The City of Atlanta and the Georgia Democratic Party made a strong push to host the 2028 Democratic National Convention, but fell short once again when it was announced that Boston, Denver and Philadelphia are the three finalists. Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens blasted the decision, accusing the DNC of “abandoning Atlanta, abandoning the South, and once again abandoning Black voters.” The snub has Georgia Dems SINKING…
