Supporters of sports betting legislation got an early lift Tuesday when Senate Bill 172 passed out of the Senate Regulated Industries & Utilities Committee on just the second day of the legislative session. The bill would establish a sports gaming commission and put the issue in front of voters in the form of a constitutional amendment. Atlanta snubbed for ’28 DNC Convention
The City of Atlanta and the Georgia Democratic Party made a strong push to host the 2028 Democratic National Convention, but fell short once again when it was announced that Boston, Denver and Philadelphia are the three finalists.
