Robert Buschman, the state’s fiscal economist, warned state budget makers last week that the state is likely headed for a mild recession over the first half of 2024.  Pointing to sluggish tax collections and high inflation on services, Buschman was still hopeful that the recession wouldn’t be severe and that the state would be able to weather it with its large pool of reserves.  Nevertheless, a looming (possible) recession has Georgia residents DRIFTING…
