The U.S. Soccer Federation is gearing up to break ground on its sparkling new headquarters and training center in Fayette County, south of Atlanta. The Federation is finalizing its land purchase, which will include up to 12 outdoor playing fields, 100,000 sq. feet of indoor courts, and another 200,000 sq. feet devoted to the training center and headquarters. The massive development will kick off later this spring and is expected to be completed ahead of the World Cup in 2026. USSF considered nine locations around metro Atlanta but selected the Fayette Co. site, near Trilith Studios, for its proximity to Hartsfield-Jackson Airport and downtown, while also having enough space to spread out over 200 acres and offer top of the line facilities to all 27 of its men’s and women’s teams.
