This summer Georgia (along with most of the South) will experience a “once in a lifetime” event – and if you’re afraid of bugs you might want to stay inside.  Starting in May two separate cicada broods will emerge from the ground at the same time, an event which hasn’t happened since 1803.  That means billions of cicadas will hatch, fly across the Southeast, blast their noisy mating calls (as loud as 90 decibels), lay eggs, and die, all over a five-week period.  So if you’re not a bug fan you may want to plan a vacation this summer, because the cicadas are going to be RISING…
