After a brutal financial year that saw its stock fall to an all-time low, electric vehicle manufacturer Rivian is pausing construction on its $5 billion EV factory east of Atlanta, choosing instead to manufacture its new R2 and R3 models at its existing Illinois factory. The City of Atlanta and the Georgia Democratic Party made a strong push to host the 2028 Democratic National Convention, but fell short once again when it was announced that Boston, Denver and Philadelphia are the three finalists.
