As the Atlanta Braves prepare for the upcoming season, the team’s “Braves Country Road Trip” is kicking off Saturday in Macon during the city’s annual Cherry Blossom Festival.  While there won’t be players there (the Braves play the Rays that day) there will be members of the organization to hand out team swag and pose for pictures in a replica of Truist Park.  The road trip will continue at stops across Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, North Carolina and South Carolina – Braves Country is wide.  The team picked this weekend for Macon to capitalize on the Cherry Blossom Festival, when the city’s 350,000+ Yoshino cherry trees bloom, turning Macon pink and bringing in tourists from across the country to celebrate the principles of  “love, beauty, and international friendship.”
