While Alpharetta and South Forsyth continue to battle over a potential NHL expansion franchise, another suburban city is getting in on the pro sports scene.  Roswell city officials have announced exploratory plans to build a 10,000-seat soccer stadium that will host  United Soccer League (the league below MLS where Atlanta United plays) teams for both men and women and anchor an entertainment and sports mixed use development, (think the Battery).  Roswell Mayor Kurt Wilson says the proposed development,  “Will be a transformational project for our community, for all of north Fulton and really for the state of Georgia, and an economic driver for our city.”
