Next Monday large swathes of the U.S. will get to see a total solar eclipse, the first in the country since 2017. Unfortunately for Georgians, unlike the previous eclipse, this one will only be partial here in the Peach State as the eclipse’s path is further west. However we will still get about 85% of the “Great North American Eclipse,” at around 3pm next Monday, April 8th. There are several viewing parties including at Stone Mountain and the Tellus Science Museum in Cartersville, and it’s advised to attend to get some safety glasses which are necessary for viewing.
