Voters to decide on Gwinnett city

In May voters in northwest Gwinnett County will decide whether or not to incorporate into a new city that would become the biggest – and wealthiest – in the county.  The proposal for the city of Mulberry, the vast majority of which consists of single-family homes, has been hotly debated as have most cityhood movements in recent years.  Most recently three proposed cities in Cobb Co. were rejected in 2022.  Mulberry supporters are hopeful, saying they want more local control over their corner of a massive (and growing) Gwinnett, but up until voting day its future is DRIFTING…
