In May voters in northwest Gwinnett County will decide whether or not to incorporate into a new city that would become the biggest – and wealthiest – in the county. The proposal for the city of Mulberry, the vast majority of which consists of single-family homes, has been hotly debated as have most cityhood movements in recent years. Most recently three proposed cities in Cobb Co. were rejected in 2022. Atlanta snubbed for ’28 DNC Convention
The City of Atlanta and the Georgia Democratic Party made a strong push to host the 2028 Democratic National Convention, but fell short once again when it was announced that Boston, Denver and Philadelphia are the three finalists. Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens blasted the decision, accusing the DNC of “abandoning Atlanta, abandoning the South, and once again abandoning Black voters.” The snub has Georgia Dems SINKING…
