On Monday at an Atlanta City Council meeting Inspector General Shannon Manigault took to the floor during public comment time and made a statement that perked up ears around the city. She claimed that during her investigations into allegations of wrongdoing (the job of the inspector general) there has been a “concerted effort to interfere in the work of the Office of the Inspector General.” She went on to say that city officials had instructed employees to “delay, impede, and disclose our confidential investigations.” Mostly scandal-free since the Kasim Reed era, could Atlanta City Hall once again be SINKING…?
