An odd story out of College Park sees the fate of a newly-built rock wall for children caught in political crossfire. The wall was built by a nonprofit in 2021 at the Tracey Wyatt Recreation Complex in College Park, where it instantly became a popular attraction. Out of the blue this month the city council voted to have it removed, giving no reason. But at a later meeting Councilman Roderick Gay said he wanted to reverse his vote, potentially saving the wall just as summer camps are set to begin at the facility. Atlanta snubbed for ’28 DNC Convention
The City of Atlanta and the Georgia Democratic Party made a strong push to host the 2028 Democratic National Convention, but fell short once again when it was announced that Boston, Denver and Philadelphia are the three finalists.
