Each year a myriad of different Georgia organizations hand out ‘legislator of the year’ awards, but few are as notable as the Georgia Chamber’s. The Chamber announced Monday that its 2024 ‘Legislators of the Year’ are state Sen. Matt Brass, R-Newnan, state Sen. Shaw Blackmon, R-Bonaire, and state Rep. Deborah Silcox, R-Sandy Springs. Atlanta snubbed for ’28 DNC Convention
The City of Atlanta and the Georgia Democratic Party made a strong push to host the 2028 Democratic National Convention, but fell short once again when it was announced that Boston, Denver and Philadelphia are the three finalists.
