This Thursday Ohio Senator and GOP vice presidential candidate J.D. Vance is coming to Valdosta to host a campaign event, focusing on immigration.  Vance will speak at the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office, marking a return to South Georgia by the Trump campaign as it seeks to re-take a state that voted for Joe Biden in 2020.  Trump visited Valdosta himself both in 2016 and 2020, marking its importance as a key part of the state where Republican candidates need to pump up turnout in order to win statewide races.  Vance has been crisscrossing the country tirelessly since being named the vice presidential nominee at last month’s Republican convention, and this surely won’t be his last visit to the Peach State before the November general election.
